Why Serenity Garden Spa Loves Yoga

 

Serenity Garden Spa specializes in providing stellar, result-oriented skin care.  The customized treatments we provide are very effective at enhancing the appearance and healthy function of the skin, at the same time deeply relaxing you, the owner!  In fact, we refer to skin as “gift-wrapping.”  Skin is the largest organ of the body, one aspect of the mind, body and spirit connection.

In providing these services we generally discuss with our clients the importance of healthy nutrition, adequate water intake, stress reduction, rest, and relaxation.  Beautiful skin is related to the health and well-being of its owner.  The positive changes that occur with the “relaxation response” are well-documented. Think of how you feel at some of your best moments, we would love for you to experience many more of the same and live well!


We love yoga because it offers a guided path, or system, along with Ayurveda, the science of life, towards a healthy, balanced lifestyle and considers the individual needs of the person.  The benefits of yoga are well-documented, based upon thousands of years of observation and study in the eastern world, and many years of ongoing research via the western medical model.

Of the eight limbs of yoga most westerners are familiar with the asana or physical postures that we know help with strength and flexibility.   Interestingly, the main reason asana are actually performed is to prepare the body and quiet the mind for meditation, one of the limbs of yoga that can greatly enhance the quality of life. 

During these challenging times yoga provides wonderful resources for guidance and support for individuals and the world-wide community.

There are many styles of yoga. Find a class or teacher that you are comfortable with and can help you practice and learn about yoga safely and gently.
